Port Melbourne SC, this Saturday 25th November, is hosting the Soccer 6s on the Sports Programme. This event involves over 240 competitors throughout the day.

The Australian Corporate Games set in Melbourne Victoria on November 24-26 will see 8,000 participants from over 300 organisations competing over the 3 days. http://www.corporategames.net.au/aus

The Games started in 1993 to encourage companies to support employees’ pursuit of an active and healthier lifestyle has achieved this goal with each year nearly 15,000 Australians competing in Corporate Games nationally.

COACHING PROGRAM

The technical department and all coaches are committed to providing Port Melbourne players a clear development pathway.  Through a number of programs and processes the club will provide opportunities and manifest improvement plans in the Talented Player, Skill Development and Player Progression programs as well as International Tours.

Port Melbourne SC is also committed to a coaching pathway to ensure not only are our players reaching their potential, but so are our coaches. The Technical Department will continue to support, develop and review all coaches and players at the club.  Through this monitoring, engagement and education, coaches and players will be given every opportunity to reach their full potential and reach their footballing goals.

Kick off 2018 pre-season program

The coaching and administration staff are looking forward to welcoming you all.

Please note that there are 5 important items ensuring an efficient and smooth 2018 induction program.

1)  Training schedules for initial 2 pre-season weeks (adaptation/induction cycle):

Commencing Wednesday 8th November 2017

  • U12’s  5:45pm-7:15pm       Wednesday/Friday
  • U13’s  5:45pm-7:15pm       Wednesday/Friday
  • U14’s  5:45pm-7:15pm       Wednesday/Friday
  • U15’s  7:30pm-9pm             Wednesday/Friday
  • U16’s  7:30pm-9pm             Wednesday/Friday

NB-the training schedules will vary after the induction/adaptation period are completed. We will confirm the final preseason program dates early next week. The training schedules for the 2018 season will be confirmed at a later date.

2) Team Managers:

The ongoing support & team management for all junior NPL teams is a critical component to our football program . Ideally, we would like one team manager along with an assistant manager for every team. These roles are currently available, would love to see parents get in involved. 4) Uniform sizing:

Please note that we are sizing up the players this Friday 10th November for our 2018 kits (don’t stress if you cannot make it this week, we will measure the balance of players next week). It would be great to have all players attend on Friday night, in order to ensure a smooth process  for this is very important process.

Port Melbourne SC Announce New Board

Port Melbourne SC is delighted to announce a newly elected board who are committed to the development of football and elite players of the future.

 

The new president James Vakrinos said he was proud to sign our fulltime NPL Technical Director Andy Elderton whose background includes, Victoria State League Seniors Coach & UK Academy Coach.

 

James went on to announce the signing of Adam Piddick as seniors coach. For the past two years Adam has been Moreton Bay FC NPL Technical Director and NPL Seniors Head Coach, achieving outstanding results in Queensland.

 

James is supported by, Bill Romanovski, Dario Serra, Giulio Avian, Ben Collingwood, Lori Serra & Darren Hose.
